Plettenberg in Sauerland ( state North Rhine- Westphalia )
celebrated the 600-year anniversary of the city in in 1997.
Since April1990 the city Plettenberg maintains a sponsorship with the city Schleusingen . Another twinning is with the city of Bludenz in Austria ( Vorarlberg ) since 1988th
In Plettenberg live about 30.000 inhabitants .
Numerous industries metalworking and craft enterprises , service providers , trade , banking and insurance are the economic base of the city . The pedestrian area with shops , small plettenberg – logo boutiques and street cafes invites next to the historic center
around the Christ Church for strolling and shopping. As completion of the redevelopment , the new Town Hall was inaugurated in September 1988.
